One particular sentence from the article caught my attention: "The symptoms would disappear when he began each tour, he said, but came back stronger than ever when he came home."

What is most disturbing is these men and women are not receiving the help that they deserve when they come home. Neglecting to help veterans who have been involved in armed conflicts will have an effect on our society as more and more soldiers return from duty. It always astounds me when the esteemed medical profession entrusted to help us gives us statements like, "We don't know what the cause of it is.." The cause of it, if you have any degree of intelligence, is seeing your friends killed, blown up, or maimed , then returning to "Normal" society with little or no help and expected to function as if nothing has happened.

If you are going to send out someone's sons and daughters to fight in a conflict, then at least have the decency to take care of their needs when they come back home.
