Ohio's Polling Numbers Show Problems for McCain
Although it is way to early to do anything but speculate, it appears Ohio is reacting to the economic downturn with a shift to Obama. It was thought when this election marathon began that the war would be the pivotal issue. Since no major changes occurred in Iraq we are left to assume that the poling number changes are due to the economy. Oddly enough, it was thought McCain's position on Iraq would be his biggest hurdle. However; it may now be the simple fact that he is a Republican in a year that the Republican economy is in trouble. It is also quite obvious that the old "tax cut, tax cut, tax cut" election economic strategy has worn out its effectiveness.
