Iraq War Proves Mindless Sheeple Exist

Baa-a-aaa! Iraq has weapons of mass destruction! Must.. invade!
It is amazing how easily influenced some people are. Well, maybe amazing is not quite the word; maybe the words we're looking for are "frightening", even "terrifying". This form of subtle brainwashing that has taken place is what Stalin and Hitler only dreamed of.
It's quite simple - The formula goes like this: There is a country you wish to invade for the following reasons 1) That country has oil 2) I want to avenge Daddy, 3) Because we can 4) All of the above. You have to build a case for this invasion to be sold to the sheep.. I mean tax paying people - whose tax dollars are going to be used to build your cluster bombs and fuel your AC-130 gun ships. So, you must come up with a plan. Let's see. What works? Saddam is a bad guy. Nah, no one would go for that. How about - Saddam invaded Kuwait! Nah, that won't work - Half of the public doesn't know where Kuwait is. Wait, I got it - Saddam has Weapons of Mass Destruction. Ah yes, there it is; that buzz word that can be packaged, marketed and sold to the reality-show MTV-fed culture - Weapons of Mass Destruction!
What exactly is a Weapon of Mass Destruction? Well as the name implies, it is a device that can bring about death and destruction on a widespread scale. So, since Saddam is said to have them, he now poses an imminent threat! But wait - Doesn't China have Weapons of Mass Destruction? Last I heard, they have an arsenal of chemical, biological and even nuclear weapons - AND the means to deliver them. "China has nukular weapons?" you ask? Yes, they do! Then there's Pakistan; they have nukes. And India! They have nukes! Let's not forget Israel; they (unofficially) have nukes. And there's Kim Jung-Il over there in the corner, representing North Korea, waving his arms in the air - telling the world, "Hey, I have Weapons of Mass Destruction - What are you going to do about it?". And of course, let us not forget the biggest and baddest of them all - Russia and the United States. United States has well in excess of 10,000 nuclear weapons, countless biological and chemical weapons and who knows how many conventional weapons. Russia as well has a huge arsenal of these Weapons of Mass Destruction.
So now, with that in mind - let me get this straight. The United States, with an arsenal of 10,000 nuclear weapons, and for the record the only country in the history of the world ever to USE not one but two weapons of mass destruction against a civilian population (The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki) is claiming that Saddam was a threat to the world because he had some mustard gas left over from the 80's (You know, the stuff the US sold to him to fight against Iran).
The bottom line is - Iraq was NEVER a threat. Let's theoretically propose a situation; suppose Iraq attacked the US with a so-called Weapon of Mass Destruction - Do you honestly think the US would have thought twice before wiping Iraq off of the face of the earth with its nuclear arsenal? There isn't a doubt in anyone's mind that the US would have retaliated in such a way. Everyone knew that - Even Saddam knew that. Hence, Saddam was never a threat to the US; He knew that any use of any so-called wmd against the US would result in the ultimate doomsday scenario for himself - the complete and total elimination of him and his country. Why would he risk it? He was comfortable running things, being your run-of-the-mill ruthless dictator, etc. He had no interest to get into a confrontation with the US.
See, but Saddam had Weapons of Mass Destruction, is what you have been told over and over (Never mind the fact that he was given these Weapons of Mass Destruction in the 80's by the very same country that is now occupying Iraq).
And that is how the brainwashing went - Weapons of Mass Destruction here, Weapons of Mass Destruction there - Weapons of Mass Destruction Everywhere! Come on, Sheeple! Sing along in unison! Baa-aa-aaa! Must.. invade.. Iraq. Bad Saddam is evil and.. and.. has Weapons of Mass Destruction!
Such is the price for being an uneducated dumbass. When you know nothing other than your twinkie bar, your Sports game, and your reality television, you'll believe all sorts of profuse horseshit that is piled upon your silver platter.
