You would think this would have some impact on people. But no, it's much more important to update one's lame MySpace page with the newest, coolest colors. Oh, and what was Britney Spears wearing last week, or Paris Hilton for that matter?
No, you see, these topics are of far greater weight and importance than hundreds of people dying on a daily basis in what many are coming to agree was one big miscalculation - To say the least.
In this day and age, where education is a mouseclick away and public universities in every state are accessable to most, if not all, people, ignorance is not an option.
Failure to properly educate yourself as to the reality of the world will result in being like a certain individual I had a conversation with.
"We should nuke them eye-Raq from the face of the earth!" he was professing to me, so I asked him, "Can you tell me at least where Iraq is located?". He was insulted that I would ask him that and responded to me that of course everyone knows Iraq is near Australia.
This type of ignorance is simply inexcusable. But I know - Your MySpace page needs updating, and Paris is on TV.
