Borders Wide Open - But, Please No Water Bottles On Airplanes.
So, let me get this straight. I can't take a bottle of water with me on an airplane. But, thousands of miles of our border are wide open to whomever wants to come across and bring whatever with them.

So, let me get this straight. I can't take a bottle of water with me on an airplane. But, thousands of miles of our border are wide open to whomever wants to come across and bring whatever with them.
This policy simply does not make sense from the stand point of ensuring security in a post-911 world.
With the exception of a select few, it seems that politicians from both parties lack any spine whatsoever to deal with the uncontrolled influx of illegal aliens into this country.
Businesses create the condition for illegal aliens to come here, seeking a better life for themselves and their families. In the eyes of certain businesses, they are saving money. What they fail to see is that they are not only contributing to the continued poverty of the illegal immigrant, but creating an added financial burden to the legal US resident.
In addition, there lies the threat that the very enemies we are fighting in other parts of the world may seek to come across these unsecured borders. I recall being told repeatedly by our president and his administration that we are in the middle of a war against "Islamic Extremists".
Why then, Mr. President, is our border wide open? Why then is this border open to anyone who wants to come across? Does this sound like a rational policy for a country whom you say is under threat from Islamic Extremists?
And so, the borders lay wide open. But no, you may not bring your bottle of water on the airplane.
